Gas Prices Rise In Florida

ORLANDO, Florida -- The average price for regular gasoline in Florida is $3.436 per gallon - up nearly a dime from $3.341 just a month ago, according to GasBuddy.com.  Florida gas prices are a just over a nickel less than the U.S. national average of $3.405 per gallon. 


The lowest gas prices in Florida are around St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee which range from $3.19 to $3.25 per gallon while the highest gas prices in Florida - that are well over $5 a gallon - are in the tourist districts around Orlando, Florida.


It pays to shop around in Brevard County where the lowest gas prices are as low as $3.33 a gallon at several gas stations on the mainland.  Gas prices are over a dime higher on the barrier islands, with the highest price in Cocoa Beach at $3.59 a gallon.
